The Beatles: Rock Band X360 Wireless Gretsch Duo-Jet Guitar Controller

Compared to the original Rock Band guitar, this thing is beautiful and slick. If you shake it, there’s a little soft rattle but I think that’s the tilt sensor for overdrive. It looks amazing, is silent, and works wonders. Love it to death. Five stars.

Playstation 3 The Beatles: Rock Band Special Value Edition

This value edition comes with the Beatles PS3 game, and the original Rock Band instruments, not the Rock Band 2 instruments. The only difference between the 1st and 2nd generation of instruments are these: 1) The guitar/bass has a different neck color and can’t be used for automatically calibrating the response time. 2)The drums don’t have the option of connecting the separate double or triple cymbal kit that you can buy. Other than those minor differences, I didn’t notice any drawback to the older instruments. I found it much cheaper to buy the old set of instruments than a separate microphone and 2nd generation guitar/bass.

Wii Band Hero featuring Taylor Swift – Super Bundle

We purchased BH for Christmas 2009 for our 2 boys. They love it and have a lot of fun playing it. However by June 2010 the red drum pad quit working and now the drum set is useless. I tried contacting Activision because I think a $200 gaming system should last a little longer than that! Their responce was that they couldn’t do anything b/c the game was purchased in December and they do not offer any sort of repair or replacement parts. So now we are stuck with a game that can’t be played with the drums, which is the whole point!

I DO NOT recomend purchasing this game.

The Beatles: Rock Band Wii Wireless Gretsch Duo-Jet Guitar Controller

Dear Sir:

I purchased this guitar for my grandson. However, he wanted the X-Box version. “ONLY THE BEST GOODS” REFUSED ME A REFUND AS THEY DIDN’T HAVE AN X-BOX AVAILABLE to exchange. I don’t think this was right and I didn’t know for sure which version he wanted and I picked the wrong one. I am a grandmother and not familiar enough with all these electronics for kids. It was a very expensive item and I don’t feel a good store, company, etc. would refuse me a refund so I can get what I want. I will never order anything from them again. Not a good policy for customers. We weren’t changing it because we didn’t want it any more. just wanted an exchange. I looked under Amazon and there are several places that have an X-Box version.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Attention to detail was put into all Beatles RB Guitars. Seems odd that the Gretsch Duo is limited more than the Ricken, however, for die hard RB & Beatles fans, this is a must have

Xbox 360 Official Rock Band Wireless Fender Wooden Stratocaster Replica – Candy Apple Red Metallic Finish

The official Xbox 360 Rock Band Wireless Fender Wooden Stratocaster Replica is a work of art as much as it is a gaming tribute. It’s every-bit as beautiful as the real thing. It is the REAL thing sans strings replaced by buttons and a strum bar. Every positive thing you’ll read in these user reviews is true. Unfortunately, it does have some defects. While I haven’t had any issue with buttons jamming or the start and back knobs getting in the way of the whammy bar, the whammy bar itself is just too damn loose – a particular problem with “real” stratocasters. Gravity will always pull the whammy bar down and out of reach unless it’s cradled under your hand while strumming. Obviously, this isn’t a deal-breaker, but it makes using the unattended whammy bar nearly impossible on hard and expert because you have take your hand away from the strummer to grab it. If it weren’t for this glaring flaw, I’d have given this five stars easily.

Xbox 360 Rock Band Wireless Fender Precision Bass Replica – Sea Foam Green

I bought this for my husband thinking that it was the same as the original rock band guitar with a bass look to it. It turns out that it has some interesting features. The strum bar is split to play faster (it takes some getting used to) and instead of a whammy bar there are nobs. Overall it takes some getting used to but it is a nice change from the traditional Rock Band guitar.

PS3 Rock Band Wireless Fender Precision Bass – Seafoam Green

This guitar seemed great taking it out of the box. Feels heavier, you can tell its well constructed. After about an hour, nothing. I don’t see how it can work with the PS3 fine, then just quit working.

PS3 Rock Band Wireless Fender Precision Bass – Hot Rod Red

I ordered this controller after much deliberation. The DOA issues and connectivity being highest on my mind. It arrived very fast and I gave it a once over.

First off, the control will not work at all if you plug the receiver into a dongle. It has to be plugged directly into the PS3. 90% of the time it does what it says on the tin. Plucks great, plays well, very responsive. 10% of the time it decided I want an effect on the track when I haven’t hit the effects knob AT ALL. I chalked it up to bad batteries that came with the controller and threw in new ones. However the problem did come back and since I play expert all the time it failed me out of the song.

I then brought it to a bigger event and had a bunch of people try it. Some had problems, others didn’t. I am still playing with it a bit and kept the packaging in case I feel like it is unplayable and want a new one.

My major issue is that this controller is NOTHING like the pro controllers for the Xbox 360. The $300 ones are heavy, made of wood, and have a completely different action to them. This controller is more of a long necked version of the RB2 guitar controller. It is ok but definately not what I expected.

All in all it is ok for now but if it acts up, I will return it.

Official Rock Band Wireless Fender Precision Bass for Playstation 3 – White

I was scared off by the early reviews here, but I’ve been using this Wireless Fender Precision Bass for over a month now with my original 60GB PS3 and I have had absolutely NO PROBLEMS thus far! Connection is strong at every distance with no interruptions, the split strum and the thumb rest feel great (although my hands get tired!), the fret buttons have a great feel to it, the strap is a definite upgrade from the ones packaged with the Special Edition bundles… I’m really, REALLY happy with it.

What I think might have happened was that the first wave of these guitars were less than stellar. I bought mine after it went out of stock the first time, so I think this latest run of Wireless Precision Basses are better.

So if you love Rock Band as much as I do, you should DEFINITELY look into this guitar. It basically reinvented the game for me!

Xbox 360 Rock Band Wireless Fender Telecaster Player’s Edition Replica – Butterscotch

I’ve had this guitar for almost a year now and played with it quite a few times as well as handed it off to friends that were over for a Rock Band party — compared to the regular wireless Rock Band 2 guitars that are packaged with the original release kit (not the new Beatles ones) it’s performance/feel/”I like this” factor is just about the same… it feels about 15% different, what I mean by that is if you like the normal Rock Band 2 wireless guitar already, this feels very similar — the buttons are a bit more steady (not stiffer, but they don’t jiggle around like the normal guitar at all) and the strum bar is a HAIR stiffer, but still has a smooth travel up or down — no clicking.

The little touches like the metal whammy bar, metal knobs and turnable “tuner” grips at the top are all nice touches that make the overall faux feel of the guitar really great — it does feel plastic though and is lighter than you expect given how it looks all fancy. So the illusion of “awesome/real” guitar fades away when you grab it, but it plays just fine and for the price I don’t think anyone was expecting a real wooden guitar or anything.

There is a touch-sensitive pad on the guitar at the base of the frets, that little silver thing you see in the picture is a touch-sensitive button that MIGHT be really cool if you want/use it… I don’t, and it drives me nuts when friends are over and are CONSTANTLY accidentally tapping it while we are trying to select a song. I think it’s easy enough to throw tape over it, but just be aware of that feature if you are using the guitar and the game is acting insane and you are wondering why… someone is likely touching that touch-plate.

Overall, an easy 4 out of 5 score — if you were at all interested in buying this because you liked the look or needed a new guitar and thought this was cool, it’s a very easy recommendation, go ahead and buy it. If you don’t necessarily NEED a new guitar and thought maybe this was all real wood and would be cool to have, I’d say pass on it because it’s definitely a plastic instrument and not quite as insanely sexy as the Logitech premium guitar or some of those other ultra-realistic ones out there.

PS2 Band Hero Super Bundle

We bought the game/accessories used so that could be the possible reason for some of our issues. We have a very difficult time getting the transmitter for both the guitar and drums to connect/turn on. We have to unplug the USB connection and replug it back in (sometimes a couple of times). Once it is connected, they work completely fine until we turn off the system. Once we turn it back on we have the same issue all over again. Also, the game seems to run very slow on PS2 so please consider this before your purchase. Overall we are very happy with the game/accessories (I just remembered that the cable from the drums to the System is very short forcing you to sit quite close to the TV – Minor detail). I don’t mind the slowness since it was so much cheaper to purchase it for the PS2 ($100+ more for our other system – Wii).
